Testimonials

"Thank you for a wonderful five days" - Jane and Derek Cornish Mar 2012

Winter Mountain Walking Torridon

"I had a prior idea of what we might do during our 5 days in the mountains. I wasn't even close having done more, seen more and learned more than I thought possible. Thank you for everything" Jane Miller March 2012

Winter Mountain Walking Torridon

"Thanks for coming out on a winter evening to collect me from the railway station. That was the start of a memorable trip. It's hard to write about something that really can only be experienced. Not enough superlatives! The snow, the Eagles, feeling safe and looked after, the islands, the seascapes and, of course, the mountains. Just a few words which are inadequate for what I actually achieved. Thank you to all in Applecross. No sooner on the train south and I'm planning another trip" James Brydon feb 2013

Trip Description

Explore the pristine wilderness of the North West during this 5 day mountain experience which takes place amidst the most diverse and scenic mountains in Scotland.

Escape the crowds of Aviemore and Fort William and enjoy mountains days where we frequently have the mountain to ourselves allowing you to discover the hidden gems of the NW Highlands.

The remoteness of these Munros means that winter wildlife is more abundant, and we'll have a greater chance of seeing Mountain Hares, Golden Eagles and Red Deer.

The Torridon mountains are the main focus of the week and we also take opportunities to have days north or south of Torridon visiting unique venues such as An Teallach and the Kintail ridges.

We'll kit you out in everything you need and ascend as many Munros as possible over the five days.

Every week is different allowing us to fit in with the weather and the needs of each group of people on every week.

We regularly have individuals returning time and time again for a great mountain week and it's never the same twice.

This itinerary is suitable for experienced walkers and novices alike and will be tailored according to the aspirations of the group as a whole.

You will need to be fit to enjoy multiple days on the mountain as we pack a lot into each programme.

The main aim each day will be to tackle a specific summit and along the way skills and safety input will allow a development of your abilities in the winter environment.

So join us this winter and experience the jaw dropping scenery in our unique mountains.

There's only so much we can put into these descriptions so please do phone for a chat if you wish.
