Otter spotting at the Crowlin Islands Intro to Sea Kayaking Weekend
Sea kayaking in Scotland - learning basic skills - taking in the raw and natural beauty of the Highlands!
This is the shortest overnight camp trip we do and is a great intro if you’re short of time. Our Inner Sound Kayak Expedition is simply an extended version of this trip and as such is still beginner orientated but with more time to train. Come and explore and immerse yourself in the wilds.
Spending the Sunday learning the basic skills of kayaking you will be able to get used to you boat, paddle and how to manouver yourself.
The morning of day two will be spent preparing for an overnight expedition focusing on planning, safety, weather and equipment needed before heading out in the afternoon to return on Monday. Enjoy fresh, local homecooked meals and escape into the wilds. Explore the beauty of the highlands and the hidden secrets of the sea. Visit the seal colonies and the remote islands before heading back to Applecross bay on Monday afternoon.
